Senior Sous Chef
Location: Outskirts of Reading
Salary: £36,000 to £38,000
Hours: 45 hrs
We are delighted to partner with a charming country pub that is offering an incredible opportunity for an experienced Senior Sous Chef. This well-established gastro pub is celebrated for its seasonal British cuisine, with a strong emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients and expertly crafted dishes.
The Role:
This position is ideal for a talented chef with experience in fresh food kitchens, who can confidently support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, maintaining high culinary standards, and leading a dedicated brigade of chefs.
- Part of an 8-person brigade serving high-quality seasonal dishes
- Emphasis on fresh, locally sourced ingredients, including in-house butchery and daily caught fish
- A menu that balances classic favourites with creative, nose-to-tail dishes
- Active involvement in kitchen management, food preparation, and stock control
Salary & Benefits:
- £36,000 - £38,000 per year (46-hour week, 5 days)

- Sous Chef or Head Chef experience in a fresh food kitchen
- Strong leadership and team development skills

- Confident in kitchen operations, ordering, and stock management
- Eligibility to work in the UK
Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts over a 5-day working week
