Pineapple Recruitment is excited to be working with a dynamic and growing hospitality business based in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. Our client is on a lookout for a passionate and driven Sous Chef to join a talented kitchen team and play a key role in delivering bold, flavour-led dishes in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Whether you're experienced with Japanese cuisine or simply eager to learn, full training and mentorship will be provided by an experienced Executive Chef.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen

• Lead by example and assist in training junior kitchen staff

• Maintain high standards of food preparation, cleanliness, and consistency

• Ensure smooth service during busy shifts

• Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials

• Uphold health and safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment

About You:

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie

• Positive, team-focused attitude with a willingness to learn

• Passionate about delivering high-quality food and guest experiences

• Able to thrive under pressure in a busy service environment

• Strong communication and leadership skills
