Salary: Up to £34,000 + TRONC (estimated extra £6k+ per year)

We’re on the hunt for a talented and motivated Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in running a high-performing kitchen. This role is perfect for someone with strong kitchen experience who is ready to step up, take ownership, and thrive in a busy, quality-driven environment.
You’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding dishes, training junior chefs, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations — all while maintaining high standards and bringing creativity to the table.

Support Leadership: Work closely with the Head Chef to oversee kitchen operations and uphold the pub’s reputation for top-quality food.
Food Preparation: Create and assist with high-quality dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Kitchen Standards: Ensure all food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards are maintained at the highest level.
Team Development: Help train, mentor, and support junior team members.
Stock and Ordering: Assist with stock control, ordering, and waste management.
Efficiency: Maintain excellent organisation in a fast-paced kitchen, helping to drive consistency and smooth service.
Dietary Requirements: Ensure all meals meet allergen and dietary guidelines.
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong experience as a Chef de Partie ready to step up
A passion for fresh, seasonal food and quality presentation
Calm, confident communicator and team player
Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen best practices
Desire to learn, grow, and contribute to a positive kitchen culture
Right to work in the UK
