Sous Chef
Here at Pineapple Recruitment, we are recruiting on behalf of a well-established banqueting venue and restaurant that prides itself on high standards of food preparation and hospitality.
All dishes are made on-site using locally sourced ingredients, and our client is now looking for an enthusiastic Sous Chef to help continue their success and contribute to growing the business.
About the Role
This role would suit a Chef who has worked within fresh food restaurants or gastro pubs, or a strong Commis/Demis Chef wishing to step up into a challenging, rewarding environment. Ideally, you will have experience in a banqueting or classical restaurant kitchen where your skills have been refined.
The business is open 6 days per week, is closed most Sundays, and closes for Christmas and Bank Holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Culinary Standards: Source, prepare, and cook high-quality dishes using fresh, local ingredients.
Menu Development: Plan and create menus alongside the Head Chef and management team.
Compliance & Hygiene: Maintain kitchen cleanliness and take responsibility for Health & Safety standards.
Team Leadership: Promote good morale in the kitchen, encouraging team members to take pride in their work.
Service Focus: Maintain flexibility in working hours to meet client and customer needs.
Package & Benefits
Salary: Circa £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
