The Opportunity
A beautifully refurbished 49-bedroom property in a historic market town is seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join its culinary team. The venue blends 18th-century charm with modern hospitality, offering a rosette-awarded restaurant, afternoon tea lounge, conference catering, weddings, and special events.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present dishes to a consistently high standard across multiple service areas.
- Support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
- Lead and mentor junior chefs, fostering a collaborative and positive team culture.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards.
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste.
- Contribute to menu development and seasonal offerings.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a chef, with strong cooking skills across multiple techniques.
- Proven experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and creative presentation.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings.
- Ability to reliably commute or relocate to the Buckingham area before starting.
