Senior HR Advisor

Job Description

Our client, a leading organisation is seeking a highly credible Senior HR Advisor to deliver specialist advisory support in Herefordshire. You will be joining a supportive, multi-disciplinary team where you will have the autonomy to manage your own portfolio while contributing to the wider growth of a respected HR function. What you’ll be doing:

This is an autonomous role for a solution-focused advisor who enjoys building deep-rooted relationships and providing expert guidance on complex people matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Advisory: Act as a trusted consultant providing high-quality advice on the full range of HR matters, including employment law, safeguarding, and terms and conditions.
  • Complex Casework: Lead and manage end-to-end casework including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, and complex absence cases, acting as the employer’s representative.
  • Organisational Change: Provide transformational advice on change management programmes, including redundancy, restructuring.
  • Policy & Development: Lead the development of HR policies ensuring they are fit for purpose, legally compliant.
  • Commercial Growth: Proactively identify new business opportunities, demonstrating the value-add of HR services to existing and prospective clients.
  • Training & Coaching: Design and deliver bespoke HR training for leaders on topics such as recruitment, safer recruitment, and performance management.

What you’ll need:

  • Professional Qualification: CIPD Level 7 is highly desirable. We also welcome applications from candidates with significant equivalent experience who are currently working toward their qualifications.
  • Sector Expertise Experience within the Education sector.
  • Working Pattern & Location agility: This is a hybrid role with a high degree of remote flexibility. However, due to the nature of the service, candidates must reside within commutable distance of the region to provide on-site support and attend urgent face-to-face meetings at schools when required.
