Job Title: Senior Event Coordinator
Establishment: 4 red star Hotel
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £24,508 per annum + service charge
Location: Near East Grinstead

The role:
As a Senior Events Coordinator, you’ll manage enquiries for weddings, social functions, and conferences at a luxury countryside venue. You’ll build client relationships, prepare proposals and contracts, and oversee events from planning through execution. Strong organisational skills and cross-departmental collaboration are key to success.
Responsibilities:
- Act as deputy for the Events Office Manager when required
- Deliver exceptional guest service across both operational and administrative tasks, consistently aiming to exceed expectations
- Represent the venue and its wider group with professionalism in all business interactions
- Support and attend Wedding Fayres and Showcases, including occasional evenings and offsite events outside standard working hour
Attributes / Experience:
- Experience in an events role, within a luxury venue
- Excellent communication skills
- Sales focused with particular aptitude for closing and upselling
- Desire to consistently deliver exceptional guest service and exceed client expectations
- Administration & IT skills, including computer literacy and familiarity with database/booking packages
- Attention to detail, professional manner and good understanding of confidentiality issues
- Able to use initiative and remain calm under pressure
- Opera Sales & Catering experience is a bonus
- Happy and confident to work independently
