Salary: £35,116 per annum plus pension and benefits
Hours: Full-Time, Temporary (37.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday)


About the Role:

Pineapple Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Conference and Events Coordinator on behalf of our client. This is a temporary, fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, ideally starting from 1 March for 12 to 13 months.

You will play a key role in assisting the smooth day-to-day running of commercial and internal events, contributing to the overall success of the Conference and Events team. Our client is an established venue for a variety of events, including residential conferences, formal dining, summer schools, weddings, and business meetings. This is a great opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with excellent communication skills who enjoys overseeing events from initial client contact to front-of-house execution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Assist in maintaining and growing the Conference and Events business.

  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong working relationships with new and existing clients to ensure high levels of repeat business.

  • Sales & Enquiries: Manage incoming sales enquiries, emails, and calls, advising clients on availability, space, and catering options.

  • Event Coordination: Plan and organise bookings for conferences, college functions, accommodation, receptions, dinners, and catering events.

  • Client Engagement: Provide face-to-face consultations, conduct venue show-arounds, negotiate details, and ensure smooth event execution.

  • Proven experience in event planning or conference coordination.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and efficiency.

  • Customer-focused, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
