Pineapple Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Conference and Events Coordinator on behalf of our client. This is a temporary, fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, ideally starting from 1 March for 12 to 13 months.
You will play a key role in assisting the smooth day-to-day running of commercial and internal events, contributing to the overall success of the Conference and Events team. Our client is an established venue for a variety of events, including residential conferences, formal dining, summer schools, weddings, and business meetings. This is a great opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with excellent communication skills who enjoys overseeing events from initial client contact to front-of-house execution.
Business Development: Assist in maintaining and growing the Conference and Events business.
Client Relations: Build and maintain strong working relationships with new and existing clients to ensure high levels of repeat business.
Sales & Enquiries: Manage incoming sales enquiries, emails, and calls, advising clients on availability, space, and catering options.
Event Coordination: Plan and organise bookings for conferences, college functions, accommodation, receptions, dinners, and catering events.
Client Engagement: Provide face-to-face consultations, conduct venue show-arounds, negotiate details, and ensure smooth event execution.
Proven experience in event planning or conference coordination.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and efficiency.
Customer-focused, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Annual Leave: 25 days plus bank holidays (pro-rata), with an extra day every two years (up to 30 days).
