As the Relief Cook in Oxford, you will be responsible for orchestrating the preparation and delivery of a healthy, delicious and exciting menu for our students and staff, all with fresh ingredients.
You are the culinary guardian, ensuring every plate is perfect and the kitchen operates flawlessly.
Menu Mastery: Take ownership of our carefully selected recipes, bringing our nutritious menus to life with excellent taste, flawless presentation, and consistency.
Compliance Command: Champion the highest standards of Food Hygiene, Allergen management, and Health and Safety compliance (HACCP) within the unit.
Team Collaboration & Mentoring: Work collaboratively with the team to deliver a fun, friendly, and delicious dining experience. You will provide outstanding support and guidance, acting as a positive, proactive role model to your team.
Hospitality Production: Skillfully manage the production of high-quality hospitality and special catering requests for clients.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and customers, serving as a trusted, knowledgeable representative of our client
They are seeking an experienced Coo who shares our unwavering passion for serving great-tasting food and driving excellent service. If you're ready for a role where you can truly influence the kitchen's success, you'll need:
Food Hygiene Level 2 & 3 (or be willing to achieve Level 3 quickly; further professional training will be available).
Excellent, practical working knowledge of Health and Safety practices and kitchen operational efficiency.
Basic computer skills, with familiarity in using different operational systems (e.g., ordering, compliance logging).
Exceptional self-motivation, creativity, and initiative—you are ready to lead improvements and innovate the food offer.
A full UK driving licence, to enable you to travel between schools
