Our Client is a market leading contract catering company specialising in school food. By providing excellent care and services to both clients and children, they have ensured the successful growth of the company and to keep up with the rapid pace of this growth, they are now looking for an experienced Chef or Cook to join the team.

The role:

As a Relief Cook in schools you will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of a healthy, nutritious and fun menu for the students and staff. You will focus on delivering the highest quality of food and service along with having the flair, originality and the ability to make this one of the best catering offers in the area.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of the menu, using the recipes provided
• Ensuring Food Hygiene, Allergen and Health and Safety compliance
• The production of Hospitality as per the client requests
• Supervision of the team
• Building relationships with both the client and customers
• Providing a friendly and polite customer service experience for all

About you:

We need someone who shares our passion for delivering exceptional food and service to our schools along with the following skills and experience:

• Driving licence
• Craft based experience using fresh ingredients
• Knowledge of health and safety practises
• Line management experience
• Experience within a similar environment

This role is:

• 35 hours per week – with no late nights
• Working 38 weeks per year based around term time – what could you do with all that time off?
• £16.50 per hour plus paid mileage
