The Role: Reporting to the Divisional Finance Business Partner, you will be the primary financial link to the Regional Operations Manager. This hybrid position requires an individual who is willing to take full ownership, provide robust analysis, and translate complex financial detail into actionable business decisions.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Commercial Business Partnering: Act as the strategic financial partner to the Regional Operations Manager, proactively identifying financial opportunities and mitigating commercial risks across the region.
P&L Ownership & Analysis: Take full ownership of the region’s monthly financial statements. Prepare and critically review the Profit & Loss, ensuring information is accurate, controlled, and investigating variances in detail.
Planning & Forecasting: Support operational teams in developing robust, commercially viable budgets and forecasts.
Client Facing Communication: Attend client meetings to represent the finance team, ensuring contracts are financially viable, overseeing monthly billing for accuracy, and confidently addressing complex client queries.
Compliance & Training: Monitor financial compliance, escalate risks constructively, and provide essential financial training to operational staff where required.
Audit & Reporting: Assist with the year-end audit process and generate essential ad-hoc reporting in line with fast-paced business requirements.
What We Are Looking For We are seeking a confident and highly motivated Management Accountant with a minimum of 3 years' dedicated experience in busy environment. This is a crucial role where you will not just report the numbers but actively influence regional performance and drive profitability. You will be ambitious, proactive, and hold the following essential skills and experience:
Experience: Minimum 3 years practical, hands-on experience in a Management Accounting role.
Qualification Status: Actively working towards a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, etc.).
Technical Proficiency:Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential for detailed analysis and reporting.
Communication: Proven ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insight for non-finance stakeholders.
Mindset: Highly analytical, adaptable, and comfortable taking ownership in a continuously changing, fast-moving environment.
Travel: You will enjoy getting out to meet with Clients at least twice a month.
