Job Description

Procurement Analyst

Salary: £30,000 per annum
Location: Worcester (Primarily Office-Based / Hybrid Flexibility)
Contract: Monday - Friday, 37.5 Hours per week

The Opportunity

Our client is a specialist procurement and operational consultancy dedicated to helping businesses optimise their supply chains and manage costs efficiently. At the heart of their mission is the Procurement team—the driving force that ensures the value promised to clients is the value delivered.

They are seeking a Procurement Analyst to join their fast-paced, forward-thinking team. This role is not just about crunching numbers; it is about "transforming data into direction." You will play a key role in delivering insight-driven recommendations that strengthen client strategies and tender outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Benchmarking & Analysis: Conduct detailed benchmarking for tenders across multiple categories. You will analyse supplier pricing and market data to identify competitiveness and value opportunities.

  • Solution Development: Proactively identify and propose procurement solutions. Where data gaps or unclear product matches exist, you will seek clarity to ensure every benchmark is complete and solution-focused.

  • Strategic Reporting: Present findings through clear, engaging reports and dashboards (e.g., Power BI). You will translate complex data into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Collaboration: Partner with category experts, sales teams, and procurement specialists to refine sourcing strategies and validate solutions that drive measurable improvements.

  • Continuous Improvement: Take ownership of benchmarking models and cost databases, continuously enhancing tools and frameworks to ensure transparency and efficiency.

The Ideal Profile

  • Analytical Precision: Strong problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail and a sense of ownership over the accuracy of your deliverables.

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills are essential. Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau is highly desirable.

  • Commercial Acumen: A strategic thinker who understands cost drivers, sourcing implications, and the commercial levers that impact procurement decisions.

  • Communication Skills: Confident in engaging stakeholders and influencing decision-making by presenting complex data in a compelling, clear manner.

  • Organisational Ability: Capable of managing multiple tenders and projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.

What’s On Offer

  • Financials: Competitive salary of £30,000.

  • Health & Future: Private healthcare scheme and pension with employer contribution.

  • Time Off: 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays).

  • Work-Life Balance: Primarily office-based in Worcester with occasional opportunities for home working and flexible arrangements.

  • Recognition: Access to the "Thrive" award scheme to celebrate your successes.

  • Growth: Fantastic professional development via a dedicated Learning & Development portal and cross-functional learning from buyers and chefs.
