Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 P/A + Service Charge (approx. £3,500 per year)

The restaurant is well known for its innovative farm-to-fork approach, exquisite afternoon teas, and immersive outdoor fire cooking experiences, including wood-fired pizzas in the garden restaurant.
The Opportunity:
Our client is seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join their dynamic and creative kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled pastry professional eager to develop their craft within an award-winning environment that champions sustainability, seasonality, and creativity in all aspects of the dining experience.
As Pastry Chef, you will collaborate closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, overseeing the pastry section and ensuring that all sweet and baked offerings meet the high standards expected in a two-rosette kitchen. This is an ideal role for a pastry chef who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative setting and wants to make an impact in a kitchen known for its exceptional quality and forward-thinking approach.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and present a range of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods in line with the restaurant's seasonal menus.
Take full ownership of the pastry section, ensuring smooth and efficient production of all pastry items.
Work closely with local suppliers to source the finest ingredients for your creations, supporting the restaurant’s commitment to sustainable, locally sourced produce.
Maintain exceptional hygiene, stock control, and organisation standards within the pastry section.
Collaborate with the team in menu development, adding creative flair and new ideas to the dessert offerings.
Ensure consistency and quality in all pastry products, from plated desserts to afternoon teas and special event pastries.
Contribute to special events such as outdoor fire cooking experiences, providing creative pastry elements for these occasions.
Mentor and guide junior pastry chefs, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience in pastry or dessert production at a high standard, ideally within a two-rosette or higher kitchen.
A passion for seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, with a strong focus on creating visually stunning and delicious pastries.
Strong technical knowledge of pastry techniques, including modern and classic methods.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or a Senior Pastry Chef looking to take on more responsibility.
Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations, and stock control.
A positive, team-oriented attitude, with a passion for creating exceptional dessert experiences.
