Lounge Manager

Location: Sussex
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, working flexibly 5 days out of 7 (40 hours per week)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lounge Manager to join a prestigious four red star hotel in the heart of Sussex. This role involves leading a dedicated, professional team and becoming an integral part of the senior leadership team. The department offers a high-level service in elegant lounge areas, serving morning coffee, light lunches, and traditional afternoon teas.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete operation and administration of the Lounge department

  • Be a welcoming presence in the Front Hall/Lounge area, greeting guests, presenting menus, and taking orders

  • Maintain the highest level of guest service and supervision

  • Establish and maintain service standards in conjunction with the Food & Beverage Manager

  • Ensure that all food and beverage offerings are of the highest quality

  • Act as an ambassador for the establishment, promoting all services and events

  • Foster a sales-driven culture within the department, encouraging up-selling

  • Maintain strict control over food, beverages, and equipment, ensuring accurate stock checks

  • Strong ability to build relationships with guests and colleagues

  • Strong communication skills with fluency in spoken and written English

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and lead by example

  • Positive attitude with a passion for hospitality

  • Computer literate
