Lounge Manager
Location: Sussex
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, working flexibly 5 days out of 7 (40 hours per week)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lounge Manager to join a prestigious four red star hotel in the heart of Sussex. This role involves leading a dedicated, professional team and becoming an integral part of the senior leadership team. The department offers a high-level service in elegant lounge areas, serving morning coffee, light lunches, and traditional afternoon teas.
Oversee the complete operation and administration of the Lounge department
Be a welcoming presence in the Front Hall/Lounge area, greeting guests, presenting menus, and taking orders
Maintain the highest level of guest service and supervision
Establish and maintain service standards in conjunction with the Food & Beverage Manager
Ensure that all food and beverage offerings are of the highest quality
Act as an ambassador for the establishment, promoting all services and events
Foster a sales-driven culture within the department, encouraging up-selling
Maintain strict control over food, beverages, and equipment, ensuring accurate stock checks
Warm, personable, and committed to delivering outstanding hospitality and service
Proven track record in leading, mentoring, and developing a team
Strong ability to build relationships with guests and colleagues
Organised, detail-oriented, and able to coordinate with other departments for seamless service
Confident in handling guest feedback in real-time
Well-presented with excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills with fluency in spoken and written English
Ability to remain calm under pressure and lead by example
Positive attitude with a passion for hospitality
Computer literate
