Full-Time Kitchen Porter
Location: Cambridge
Salary: Up to 27,777, dependent on experience.
Contract:
Permanent, full-time (average 37.5 hours per week, shift pattern to be discussed).
Reporting to: Head Chef & Sous Chef



Our client is seeking a full-time Kitchen Porter to join their dynamic team. This vital role supports the smooth operation of the kitchen, helping ensure the delivery of high-quality food and an exceptional experience for guests, staff, and visitors.
The role is essential to the kitchen's success, requiring professionalism, adaptability, and excellent attention to detail. You will maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards, assist with food preparation, and provide essential support to the culinary team.

About you:
  • A hard-working and reliable individual who thrives in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A keen eye for cleanliness and maintaining high standards of hygiene.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the kitchen and all equipment are cleaned to a high standard.
  • Assist chefs with basic food preparation as needed.
  • Manage the washing up of pots, pans, and kitchen utensils efficiently.
  • Safely handle and dispose of kitchen waste.
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as required.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.
  • Support the kitchen team in maintaining a smooth workflow during service.
