Key Account Manager
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Worcester-based (with regular travel to customer sites)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 Hours per week)

The Opportunity
Pineapple Recruitment is partnering with a rapidly growing, independent beverage and refreshment solutions provider to recruit a commercially minded
Key Account Manager. Operating across the education, contract catering, leisure, and workplace sectors, this entrepreneurial business is entering an exciting stage of expansion with new product launches and commercial models.
This is a high-visibility, relationship-driven role where you will take complete operational and commercial ownership of the business’s largest strategic accounts. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will bridge the gap between client satisfaction and profitability, ensuring service excellence while identifying organic growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Relationship Ownership: Act as the principal contact and escalation point for senior stakeholders, operational teams, and site-level contacts across major accounts.
- Service Delivery Coordination: Collaborate with internal sales, engineering, and logistics teams alongside external suppliers to ensure seamless service, machine performance, and proactive issue resolution.
- Commercial Management: Manage account profitability, review margins and pricing structures, and identify underperforming areas to implement corrective action plans.
- Account Growth & Retention: Drive organic revenue growth by introducing new products, machines, and services, whilst leading price reviews and contract renewals.
- Planning & Reporting: Maintain strategic account plans, monitor key performance metrics (retention, gross profit, SLA delivery), and provide commercial updates to the Managing Director.
Skills & Experience Required
- Background: Proven experience as a Key Account Manager, National Account Manager, or Senior Account Manager managing complex, multi-site B2B accounts.
- Sector Experience: Prior experience in foodservice, vending, beverages, contract catering, facilities management (FM), or a related industry is highly advantageous.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong numerical ability with a solid understanding of account profitability, gross margins, cost-to-serve, and pricing structures.
- Communication: Exceptional relationship-building skills with the confidence to navigate challenging service and commercial negotiations.
- Mobility: A proactive, self-motivated approach is essential, along with a full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel regularly to customer sites.
