Hygiene Team Leader - Southwest

Job Description

Our client is a national specialist commercial cleaning company with invaluable experience in providing deep cleaning services across the commercial sector, retail, catering, hotels and the wider hospitality industry. They’re now looking for a Hygiene Team Leader to join their team - someone who wants to be part of a company that delivers outstanding service to its clients while also supporting the success and career growth of its people.

About the role:
On a day-to-day basis, you will be attending sites that require commercial deep cleaning. This will include tasks such as ventilation and extraction duct cleaning. Full training will be provided, along with the necessary PPE.

This role is:

  • 40 hours per week including paid travel time in company crew vans
  • Salary £28k - £31.5k depending on experience
  • Based in South West region
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the weekly cleaning schedule is adhered to and all cleaning records are completed
  • professionally and accurately
  • Responsible for ensuring that all areas of the kitchens/equipment are cleaned effectively to
  • standards required
  • Take ownership of Health and Safety for yourself and others at work
  • Complete all work in accordance with current legal Health and Safety requirements
  • Ensure that team members are aware of their responsibilities
  • Client facing position so must be professional at all times, represent the company image and
  • maintain excellent relations both internally and externally and at all levels
  • Report problems and non-conformances to the management team
  • Maintain a high level of personal hygiene and appearance
  • Wear protective clothing where necessary
  • Ensure any appropriate warning signs are always in use
  • Observe and comply with site rules and regulations at all times
  • Maintain equipment and materials in a clean and safe working order
  • Respond courteously to customer and management requests
  • Provide feedback and before & after photographs of the clean
  • Manage and control the use of the cleaning chemicals, protective clothing and hygiene
  • consumables ensuring stocks are maintained at all times
  • Undertake any other duties requested by management team

Essential Criteria:

  • Ideally 3-5 years experience in ventilation cleaning
  • Ability to carry out project work - i.e install access doors, remove fans, board loft spaces
  • Trained to TR19 / NAAD-21
  • Be reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude
  • Be able to work to a predetermined schedule
  • Be able to lead and work as part of a team
  • Be able to work using their own initiative and confident in decision making
  • Supervisory experience
  • Flexible on working times – 5 days out of 7; available to work afternoon, evenings and nights
  • Prepared to travel and stay away for short periods of time
  • Full clean UK/EU driving licence
  • Knowledge and understanding of COSHH regulations

Desirable Criteria:

  • Emergency First Aid at Work training
  • Experience of commercial kitchen deep cleaning
  • IPAF and/or PASMA qualification
