HR Operations Director
Our client is seeking an experienced HR Operations Director to oversee their HR Service function. This is a fantastic opportunity for a visionary leader to enhance employee experience, optimise expertise and HR processes, and drive operational and service excellence as the company continues to grow at pace and innovate.
Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, this role requires a seasoned HR Leader who has demonstrable leadership experience in a large-scale organisation who can oversee the HR Service Centre and HR advisory function which supports c7,000 employees. You will have experience of complex employee relations issues and in dealing with TUPE. Experience of implementing a new HR & Payroll system within a mid-large-scale business would also be an advantage.
This key role will lead a talented team and be responsible for all aspects of HR operations across the employee lifecycle, benefits management, HRIS system, policy compliance, TUPE and employee relations. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, have a solid understanding of HR best practices, and the ability to effectively lead a team and manage multiple stakeholders.
What You'll Do:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the HR operations strategy, aligning it with the overall business objectives and people strategy.
- Process Optimisation: Drive continuous improvement of HR processes, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- HR Systems Management: Oversee the maintenance of HRIS and other HR technologies to ensure data integrity and effective reporting.
- Data & Analytics: Leverage HR data and analytics to provide insights, SLAs, identify trends, and inform strategic decision-making.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure HR operations comply with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing HR team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Employee Experience: Champion initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience through efficient and effective HR service delivery.

- Experience of supporting HRIS implementations and optimisations
- Deep expertise in HR best practices, employment law, compliance and RTW and DBS
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a passion for developing talent.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and drive change in a dynamic environment.
- CIPD Level 7 qualification
