Job Title: Hotel Receptionist

Salary: £25000 - £27,000 + Tips
Hours: Shift Work, including weekends – Full-time, Permanent
The Role:
My client is looking for a dedicated and energetic Hotel Receptionist to join the team and provide a first-class experience for guests. As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in creating memorable experiences for guests, assisting with bookings, guest enquiries, and addressing any issues that arise in a professional manner. The ideal candidate will embody the values of professionalism, integrity, and teamwork, while ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the front of house.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet and greet guests, assisting with their needs and ensuring a warm, welcoming experience.
- Manage guest accounts and billing, ensuring accuracy at all times.
- Maintain a tidy and presentable reception area.
- Handle general office duties including filing, responding to correspondence, and answering phones.
- Respond efficiently to booking enquiries, providing guests with accurate information about room availability and offers.
- Process room bookings accurately and promptly, avoiding errors.
- Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B teams to resolve issues.
- Perform room inspections prior to guest check-in to ensure high standards are met.
- Assist with additional duties across departments as needed, including F&B and housekeeping.
- Work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment with energy, confidence, and professionalism.
- Resolve guest complaints efficiently and courteously, escalating issues when necessary.
- Contribute to an environmentally conscious work environment.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Minimum of 6 months' experience in a hotel reception or similar front-of-house role.
- A high standard of spoken and written English is essential.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to problem-solve quickly and take initiative when necessary.
- Personal integrity, reliability, and the willingness to learn and develop.
- A right to work in the UK and willingness to undertake DBS checks if required.
