4-Day Work Week | £40,000 per year + Annual Tips & Private Healthcare


 

About the Role

Our client is a prestigious luxury hotel establishment in Hampshire, located in an area renowned for its contemporary, design-led architecture and high-end clientele. The hotel is celebrated for its exquisite desserts and popular Afternoon Tea offerings. Our client is seeking an experienced Head Pastry Chef to take the creative reins, leading and inspiring a talented pastry team of three. This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef whose innovation and leadership will be highly valued within a dynamic, high-end environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pastry section, ensuring high standards of production, presentation, and service.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a dedicated team of three pastry chefs.

  • Design and execute innovative dessert menus, afternoon tea offerings, and seasonal creations, aligning them with the hotel’s overall culinary vision.

  • Maintain rigorous hygiene, food safety, and health standards in compliance with current regulations.

  • Manage stock levels, ordering, and cost control within the pastry kitchen.

  • Collaborate effectively with the Executive Chef and broader kitchen team.
     

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience as a Head Pastry Chef or Senior Pastry Chef in a luxury hotel or fine-dining environment.

  • Strong leadership, organisational, and team development skills.

  • Exceptional creativity in plated desserts, pastry, and afternoon teas.

  • Thorough understanding of food safety standards and kitchen management practices.

  • High attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
