Head of Payroll & Pensions

Pineapple Recruitment have been retained as an exclusive partner to find an experienced, credible, and forward-thinking Head of Payroll & Pensions for a growing and impressive Worcestershire-based business. 

This role will see you lead the company through the next stage of a major payroll transformation project, build a scalable operating model and deliver an accurate, compliant, and customer-focused payroll and pensions services. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this is a high-impact appointment at a pivotal time for a business that places its people at the heart of everything it does.

The Profile:
We are looking for a senior leader who brings technical experience and strategic judgement.
The successful candidate will be a charismatic professional capable of building trust with senior stakeholders across Finance, HR and the wider business.

We are looking for:

• Senior Leadership: A track record of leading payroll and pensions within large, complex, and regulated organisations.

• Operational Accountability: Substantial experience managing diverse workforces with a total focus on accuracy and service performance.

• Technical Expertise: Excellent knowledge of UK payroll legislation, HMRC requirements, and pensions compliance, including LGPS requirements.

• Change Management: The ability to lead teams through periods of significant organisational change while maintaining a culture of collaboration and professional standards.

The Package:

• Base Salary: £70,000 – £80,000

• Hybrid Working: Based in Worcestershire with Hybrid available after settling in period.
