About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the kitchen team, delivering high-quality, nutritious, and appetising meals tailored to residents’ preferences, dietary needs, and allergen requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and serve meals that are both delicious and nutritious, taking into account residents’ preferences and dietary requirements.
• Provide technical advice and guidance on food-related matters while fostering a positive and supportive working environment.
• Ensure full compliance with all statutory and legal requirements, including HACCP, Health & Safety, Manual Handling, COSHH, Food Safety, Food Hygiene, and Infection Prevention and Control policies.
• Oversee kitchen cleanliness, maintaining immaculate standards, and managing kitchen cleaning schedules.
• Order, receive, and manage food stocks through approved suppliers, ensuring effective stock control and minimising food wastage.
• Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment, promptly reporting any faults or damages to the Home Manager and ensuring follow-up action is taken.
• Contribute actively to team meetings and assist with the recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of catering staff.
• Attend resident and relative meetings to gather feedback and improve food quality and satisfaction.
• Organise food-related events and activities to enhance the dining experience for residents.
