Pay: 12.50 per hour + Tips

Our client is a dynamic and fast-growing hospitality venue in the heart of Birmingham, known for its bold flavours, creative cocktails, and buzzing atmosphere. They are now looking for a talented and experienced Head Bartender to lead the bar team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about mixology, thrives in a high-energy environment, and is ready to take ownership of the bar operation in a venue that values creativity, teamwork, and progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the bar team in delivering exceptional service and high-quality beverages
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers to company standards
  • Train, mentor, and inspire junior bartenders and barbacks
  • Maintain a strong presence on the bar, engaging with guests and creating a welcoming, upbeat atmosphere
  • Collaborate with management on seasonal cocktail development and drinks menu innovation
  • Ensure the bar is well-stocked, clean, and compliant with hygiene and safety standards
  • Monitor inventory, manage stock levels, and assist with ordering and supplier relationships
  • Uphold responsible alcohol service practices and ensure all guests are of legal drinking age
  • Support with opening and closing procedures, ensuring the bar is set up for success each day
  • Work closely with the front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service across the venue

What Our Client Is Looking For

  • Proven experience in a senior bar role, ideally in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and craft beers
  • A passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Creative flair and attention to detail in drink presentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Calm under pressure with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

Desirable

  • Experience in cocktail development and menu planning
  • Knowledge of bar cost control and stock management systems
  • Personal Licence holder (preferred but not essential)
