Job Description

Our Client is a market leading contract catering company specialising in school food. By combining their understanding of the education sector and their knowledge of what’s on trend in the food world, they encourage creativity and excitement in their kitchens, allowing teams to do what they do best and provide fantastic food experiences for the children.

By providing excellent care and services to both clients and children, our Client has ensured the successful growth of the company and to keep up with the rapid pace of this growth, they are now looking for an experienced Group Chef Manager to join the team.

In this fast-paced and varied role as Group Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and managing the services detailed in the contract, exceeding client, company and customer expectations

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring team retention through building strong, positive relationships with internal teams, as well as external providers and clients
  • Providing support, guidance and training opportunities to all line managers, identifying any training or development needs, whilst managing their performance through supervision and appraisals
  • Ensuring our service and food offering is always of the highest standard to create an exceptional experience for all diners
  • Helping to create and deliver captivating sales presentations to potential new clients, whilst finding new avenues for business
  • Strive for the highest levels of compliance for Health and Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene
  • Managing and assisting in the mobilisation of new business wins

The Ideal Candidate:
 

Due to the nature of the role, They are looking for a highly motivated, adaptable person with a warm and welcoming demeanour and operational experience in managing large teams in multi-site operations, preferably in the hospitality/catering industry,y along with the following:

  • Exceptional customer service skills and emotional intelligence with the ability to manage HR or performance-related issues fairly and  professionally
  • Experience in managing and compiling budgets alongside a strong overall understanding of business-related finances
  • A strong knowledge of food and safety legislation, alongside the ability to ensure team compliance in this area
  • A passion for food, you keep up to date with food trends and industry standards, with a real understanding of what good service looks like.

Package Description:

  • £30,000 per annum 
  • 40 hours per week
  • 42 weeks per year (Term Time)
