Job Description

The Role:
In this position, you will play a key part in the business’s operational success. Working closely with a strong and charismatic Finance Director, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality results within a fast-paced environment that values efficiency and professional development.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Leadership: You will head a medium-sized finance department, empowering a high-performing team of 10-15 multi-skilled individuals to deliver excellence while championing a culture of ongoing process improvement.
  • Performance & Reporting: Oversight of financial accounting, KPI development, and the delivery of robust monthly operational reporting.
  • Strategic Planning: Leading on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term business planning processes in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Risk & Compliance: Ownership of the audit process, statutory filings, and tax reporting. You will be responsible for mitigating risk and ensuring all legal financial obligations are met.
  • Commercial Partnering: Providing expert financial advice to Board members and non-finance stakeholders to drive commercial decision-making.
  • Process Excellence: Continually reviewing and refining financial controls, including FX and balance sheet management, to improve organizational efficiency.
  • Capital Investment: Conducting formal appraisals for major projects.

What you’ll bring:
We are looking for a qualified professional (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a proven track record in a fast-paced environment. You should possess:
  • Extensive experience managing multi-disciplinary finance teams.
  • A "continuous improvement" mindset with the ability to evolve internal controls.
  • Superior communication skills, capable of influencing at the Board level.
  • Strong commercial acumen, particularly regarding capital projects and risk management.
