Pineapple Recruitment are partnered with a prestigious, multi-site Industrial Processing and Distribution group to recruit a Finance Manager for their Herefordshire based headquarters.
Following a successful period of acquisition and strategic growth, this is a newly elevated role is designed to provide senior financial oversight across the group’s expanding operations.
The Role As Finance Manager, you will take full ownership of the financial function for a key division of the business. You will act as the vital link between the Herefordshire headquarters and a recently integrated facility in the West Midlands, ensuring financial transparency and operational alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Oversight: Full ownership of the Management Accounts function, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and detailed variance analysis.
Integration & Reporting: Act as the primary financial link for a recent group acquisition, delivering monthly reporting packs for Board presentation.
Cash Management: Oversee daily cash reconciliations and lead monthly cash flow forecasting.
Commercial Partnering: Liaise closely with site-based operational teams to provide financial insights that drive efficiency and cost management.
Compliance: Manage VAT returns, turnover reconciliations, and provide key support for year-end audits.
Process Improvement: Continuously develop internal management information systems and financial controls to support a fast-paced environment.
Leadership: Review weekly payroll processing and mentor junior transactional staff within the department.
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (or QBE)
Experienced: You will have a proven track record in a Management Accountant or Finance Manager role, ideally within an SME or a subsidiary of a larger parent company.
A Strong Communicator: You must be a "hands-on" professional, comfortable translating complex data for site-based operational staff and senior directors alike.
Travel: A full UK driving licence is required for the weekly site visit to the West Midlands.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this position is an ideal step for an experienced professional looking to manage the full financial lifecycle of a major division within a larger group setting.
