Finance Manager – Luxury Hotel
Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 40 hours per week
Competitive Salary + Service Charge (Performance-Based)

The Opportunity

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Hotel Finance Manager to join a prestigious, independently owned luxury hotel located on the East Sussex coast. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing the full financial function of the hotel and supporting the General Manager and senior leadership team with strategic financial insight.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the hotel’s finance operations, including month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Deliver accurate and timely management accounts, financial statements, and performance analysis.
• Conduct P&L and balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and provide actionable insights.
• Manage cash flow and ensure effective working capital control.
• Liaise with external auditors and stakeholders during audits and reviews.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and regulatory standards.
• Partner with department heads to support budget management and cost control.
• Lead and develop a small finance team, offering mentorship and performance oversight.
• Contribute to strategic planning and business development through financial analysis.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in hotel or hospitality finance.
• Strong working knowledge of hotel systems (e.g., Opera or similar).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, service-led environment with tight deadlines.
