Finance Assistant Location: Worcester (Hybrid / Flexible Working) Salary: £25,000 – £27,000 per annum + Study Support & Enhanced Benefits Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
We are exclusively recruiting for a market leading company in Worcester who are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team. This is a varied, "hands-on" role where you will support the end-to-end finance function while benefiting from a hybrid working model, full study support and a fun, friendly work environment.
The Role Supporting the wider finance team, will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the financial ledgers and ensuring the smooth flow of transactional data. This is a broad role that offers exposure to all areas of a busy finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
Ledger Management: Processing purchase and sales invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely payment runs.
Reconciliations: Performing daily bank reconciliations and monthly balance sheet control account checks.
Data Analysis: Using advanced Excel functions to manipulate large datasets, identify discrepancies, and prepare monthly reports.
Credit Control: Monitoring aged debtors and liaising with customers to ensure timely payment collection.
Month-End Support: Assisting with journals, prepayments, and accruals to help meet month-end deadlines.
Query Resolution: Acting as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve financial queries.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: Previous experience in a Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant role.
Strong Excel Skills: You must be confident using VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous accuracy in data entry and a commitment to "getting it right first time."
Proactive Attitude: A self-starter who enjoys solving problems and improving existing processes.
Qualification: Ideally progressing through AAT or qualified by experience
