Finance Assistant Location: Herefordshire Salary £28,000-£35,000 DOE Office Based
The Role You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth financial operation of the business. You will be responsible for providing accurate data and maintaining the high standards required by both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable: Full-cycle processing of purchase invoices (PO & direct costs) and reconciling supplier statements.
Banking: Managing cash book entries and executing monthly, mid-month, and ad hoc supplier payments.
Expenses: Processing company credit cards and personal expense claims.
Month-End Support: Assisting with Balance Sheet reconciliations and ensuring strict month-end deadlines are met.
Management Accounts Support: Assisting senior finance with month-end reporting, variance analysis, accruals and prepayments.
Office Support: Handling telephone inquiries and taking on ad hoc duties to support the wider team.
About You: You are an energetic, passionate team player who prides themselves on attention to detail. You are someone who can put your head down to get the job done, but you also possess the agility to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Requirements:
Qualification: AAT part or fully qualified.
Experience: Proven background in Accounts Payable and assisting with month-end tasks.
Technical Skills: Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
Mindset: Proactive, self-motivated, and willing to take ownership of your workload. You should be comfortable "challenging" processes where necessary to drive improvement.
