F&B Brasserie Manager- Whitby

Job Description
Full Time 48 Hours - £35,000 per annum + Share of Service Charge + KPI bonus scheme

The coastal village of  Whitby, Nestled between the North Sea and the North Yorkshire moors. The
estate is now the site of a £10 million refurbishment to create a sumptuous wellness-
led sanctuary, part of a wider £100 million development. Promising beautiful and
homely interiors, an indulgent spa and gym, lavish lodges, and unforgettable dining
experiences - This beautiful hotel is being completely reimagined!

As our client embarks on this incredible journey, we’re looking for talented individuals to join
us and help transform their hotel into a leading destination, redefining luxury
hospitality. We are looking for a Chef De Partie to join our kitchen team, led by their
Head Chef. You’ll be working in a brand-new kitchen at a destination
hotel with two different food outlets, creating dishes to be proud of.

***Role begins at the beginning of August 2024***

 

About you and the role

 

As the Brasserie Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the brasserie, managing staff, and ensuring an outstanding dining experience for their guests. You will work closely with the culinary team to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation, while also managing budgets, inventory, and operational efficiencies.

 
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of service staff to provide exceptional guest experiences.
  • Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures.
  • Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety regulations and other relevant legislation.
  • Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to attract and retain guests.
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Proven experience as a Brasserie Manager, Restaurant Manager, or similar role in a high-end dining establishment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage operations, including wine and beverage pairing.
