The Role

Our client is seeking an engaging and talented Events Chef to join their passionate team. This unique role combines top-tier culinary skills with a people-focused approach, delivering outstanding event catering, private dining experiences, and inspiring cookery school classes.

You will lead interactive classes for guests, create seasonal event menus, and showcase estate-grown produce, all while delivering a warm, memorable experience for participants and diners alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cookery School Hosting: Plan and lead cookery classes, enthusiastically engaging, teaching, and hosting participants of all skill levels.

  • Event & Private Dining: Deliver exceptional catering for events and private dining experiences, working alongside the wider kitchen team.

  • Menu & Recipe Development: Help create seasonal recipes and menus that champion estate-grown ingredients and sustainable cooking practices.

  • Inter-Departmental Collaboration: Coordinate closely with Front of House and Events teams to ensure flawless event execution.

  • Kitchen & Food Safety: Maintain impeccable hygiene and food safety standards, clearly communicating allergen details to guests and staff.

  • Stock & Sustainability: Assist with stock planning and stock control, upholding strict waste-reduction practices in line with the estate's eco-ethos.

Requirements

  • Strong culinary background with experience in event catering, private dining, or cookery instruction.

  • Food Hygiene & Safety Level 3 certification (essential).

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills — comfortable speaking in front of groups and interacting with guests.

  • Passionate about seasonal ingredients, garden-led food, sustainability, and provenance.

  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.

  • Warm, adaptable, and patient approach with an enthusiastic, guest-focused mindset.
