We are partnering with a highly respected, rapidly growing regional accountancy practice that is currently enjoying a sustained period of expansion. Due to ongoing client acquisition and strategic growth within their tax department, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experiencedTax Manager to join their forward-thinking team in Worcestershire. This firm is renowned for its collaborative, supportive culture, offering a fantastic platform for a tax professional looking to step up, handle high-impact projects, and deliver commercial solutions directly alongside the Partner team.
The Role Acting as a key point of contact for a diverse corporate client portfolio, you will oversee both complex compliance cycles and high-level corporate tax advisory projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Advisory & Planning: Lead and deliver corporate tax planning projects, including client restructuring, management buyouts (MBOs), demergers, new holding company structures, and pre-sale tax planning.
Compliance Management: Take full responsibility for the corporate tax compliance lifecycle across a diverse client portfolio, including reviewing complex corporation tax returns.
Team Leadership: Review work prepared by junior team members, ensuring high technical accuracy, while coaching and mentoring them to support their professional growth.
Client Relationships: Act as the primary point of contact, building long-term, trusted advisory relationships with business owners and corporate stakeholders.
Key Competencies & About You
Qualifications: CTA, ACA, or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
Experience: Proven corporate tax experience gained within an accountancy practice environment.
Technical Excellence: Strong technical knowledge of corporation tax legislation, with a highly analytical mindset capable of translating complex rules into pragmatic commercial advice.
Interpersonal Skills: Confident communicator able to build strong relationships with clients and collaborate seamlessly across different service lines.
