Shift Pattern: Split shifts (07:00 AM – 11:30 AM and 4:00 PM – 9:30 PM)

Pineapple Recruitment is partnering with a beautiful, historic country house hotel to recruit an enthusiastic Commis Chef. Operating within a large, highly supportive kitchen brigade of around 30 team members, this premier destination for adult leisure breaks offers the ultimate environment to kickstart or advance your culinary career under the direct guidance of experienced senior chefs.
Section Support: Assist the Chef de Partie and senior kitchen team with essential food preparation and mis-en-place across various kitchen sections.
Quality & Standards: Learn, maintain, and replicate company standards for food quality, presentation, and culinary excellence.
Service Communication: Communicate effectively with section leaders, take direction well, and maintain focus during fast-paced dinner services.
Hygiene & Station Safety: Keep your workstation clean, organized, and compliant with health, safety, and food hygiene guidelines at all times.
Experience: Previous experience working within a professional kitchen environment (such as a restaurant, hotel, or gastro pub).
Attitude: A strong, positive work ethic with a genuine desire to learn, ask questions, and grow your culinary craft.
Teamwork: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to thrive within a large, busy kitchen brigade.
Reliability: Absolute punctuality and commitment to managing the split-shift rota pattern.
