Join the kitchen team of a beautifully refurbished 49-bedroom property in the heart of a historic market town. This venue blends 18th-century charm with modern hospitality, offering a previously awarded rosette restaurant, afternoon tea lounge, conference catering, weddings, and special events.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Commis Chef who is passionate about fresh, seasonal ingredients and eager to learn and grow within a supportive and professional kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes across restaurant service, events, and functions.
- Support senior chefs in maintaining smooth kitchen operations.
- Uphold excellent food hygiene and safety standards.
- Help with ingredient prep, stock rotation, and kitchen cleanliness.
- Learn and contribute to seasonal menu development.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a collaborative kitchen culture.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Some experience in a professional kitchen preferred (1 year+ ideal).
- Enthusiastic about cooking and learning new techniques.
- Passion for fresh ingredients and quality presentation.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
- Able to commute or relocate to the Buckingham area before starting.
