Commercial Finance Analyst

This is a high-impact role within a sophisticated Commercial Finance team, serving as the bridge between sales, operations, and finance. My client is looking for a "data storyteller"—someone who doesn't just crunch numbers but translates complex financial sets into actionable strategies that drive business growth, retention, and operational efficiency.

Coming from a financial analysis or management accounting background, you will be the primary contact for the data that drives the business forward.

• Driving Strategy: Conducting deep-dive sensitivity analysis and scenario modelling to identify growth trends and support big-ticket bid submissions.
• Commercial Insight: Translating complex financial data into "human" insights for non-finance stakeholders, ensuring every commercial decision is backed by robust data.
• Full-Cycle Involvement: Managing central overheads and variance analysis while leading the consolidation of regional budgets and forecasting.
• Innovation: Taking ownership of process improvement projects, using your Excel skills to automate reporting and streamline how the business tracks performance.

What You’ll Bring

We are looking for a proactive individual from a financial analysis or management accounting background who is ready to take ownership of their workload and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You should have:

• Active Study Status: Currently working towards CIMA, ACCA, or ACA (with at least 3 years of practical finance experience).
• Excel Wizardry: You are comfortable with large datasets and financial modelling.
• Communication Skills: The ability to present data confidently to senior leadership and sales teams.
• A Strategic Mindset: Someone who looks past the P&L to see the operational "why."
