We are on the lookout for a Chef to join our Client, a warm and welcoming country pub in Worcester. With a passion for great British food and local produce they take pride in cooking everything from scratch, using seasonal ingredients grown on the neighbouring farm just a stone’s throw from the kitchen.
We’re now looking for a talented and passionate Chef to join the team and help take the food offering to the next level in the newly refurbished kitchen.
The Role:
As Chef, you’ll lead the kitchen in delivering delicious, honest food that celebrates the best of British produce. With access to homegrown vegetables, herbs, and meat reared on-site, you’ll have the rare opportunity to shape menus around what’s truly fresh and in season. You’ll be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen, and working closely with the manager and owners to develop new ideas that showcase our farm-to-table ethos.
Key Responsibilities:
·Prepare and cook dishes from scratch using fresh, seasonal ingredients
·Create and contribute to daily specials and seasonal menu changes
·Work with the farm team to plan menus around seasonal produce
·Maintain high standards of food hygiene and health & safety compliance
·Manage stock, ordering, and kitchen budgets efficiently
·Supervise and train junior kitchen staff where required
·Ensure a smooth and consistent service during busy periods
What We’re Looking For:
·Proven experience as a chef in a fresh food kitchen (country pub or bistro experience preferred)
·A genuine passion for seasonal, farm-to-table cooking
·Creative flair and an eye for quality presentation
·Strong organisational and time-management skills
·A team player with a can-do attitude
·Food hygiene certification and knowledge of health & safety regulations
·Ability to drive to work due to location
