Job Title: Chef de Partie
Contract Type: Permanent full‑time role, including evening work, and alternate weekend shifts on a rota basis
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £32,882 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, including evenings and weekends (with alternate weekends off)

About the Role

Pineapple Recruitment are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join a dynamic and diverse catering team within a prestigious University in Cambridge. In this role, you will support daily food preparation, uphold exceptional culinary standards, and play a key part in delivering high‑quality meals and special events.

Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chefs, you will assist with all aspects of kitchen operations, including supervising junior staff. You will also take responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of senior chefs, ensuring smooth and efficient service at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• ​​Work alongside the existing chefs in the day‑to‑day running of a professional kitchen
• Ensure all food preparation meets the College’s high standards
• Maintain consistently high levels of quality, cleanliness, and organisation
• Support productivity and contribute to a positive kitchen culture
• Assist in developing new menus and dishes for a wide range of events
• Manage and assist with the receipt, rotation, and storage of all provisions in line with food hygiene regulations
