Working Pattern: 5/7 Days - Monday – Sunday. rota 6.30am – 2.30pm or 11.30am - 7.30pm

About the Role

My client is a prestigious independent boarding and day school for girls, located in the beautiful Berkshire countryside. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef de Partie to join our dynamic in-house catering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive and professional environment, preparing high-quality meals for pupils, staff, and guests.

You will play a key role in the daily operations of a busy kitchen, supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering fresh, nutritious, and beautifully presented food. The role involves catering for large numbers and contributing to a wide range of events, including formal dinners and special occasions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present fresh food to a consistently high standard.
• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health, and safety.
• Contribute to menu planning and event catering.
• Work a rota-based shift pattern (6:30am–2:30pm or 11:30am–7:30pm), 5 days out of 7 including weekends.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in a similar role, ideally catering for large groups.
• A genuine passion for food and high standards of presentation.
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.
• Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
• Flexibility to work shifts including weekends.
