Location: Basingstoke 
Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 P/A + Tips
Hours: 45 Hours per week, 
Contract Type: Permanent
Live-in accommodation: may also be available for £75 per week

Pineapple Recruitment is excited to be recruiting for a Banqueting & Events Sous Chef on behalf of one of Hampshire’s most prestigious venues. This luxurious 4-star property, situated just 6 miles from Basingstoke and surrounded by 315 acres of stunning countryside, is renowned for hosting exceptional weddings, conferences, team-building events, and corporate functions.

We are looking for a talented Sous Chef to lead the banqueting and events brigade. If you have strong conference and banqueting experience, we’d love to hear from you! Experience working at a 2 AA Rosette level will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver consistently superior customer service.
• Review and act upon customer feedback to maintain high standards.
• Support the Head Chef in managing the team, including training and motivation.
• Monitor and control departmental operating costs in line with forecasted business levels.
• Ensure compliance with food safety requirements, including temperature checks and stock rotation.
• Assist with food operations to maintain profitability, including conducting stock-takes.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and employment legislation, providing training for team members as required.
