Full-Time | Up to £30,000 per year | Stunning Historic Setting


The Opportunity

A spectacular Grade II listed Victorian mansion set in the heart of the Berkshire countryside is seeking a dynamic Operational Assistant Wedding & Events Manager to join its team. This elegant venue hosts a wide range of events including weddings, conferences, training workshops, and large-scale celebrations—featuring one of the largest event spaces in the region, accommodating up to 500 guests.

This is a hands-on operational role ideal for someone with energy, passion, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. You’ll be at the heart of creating unforgettable experiences in a truly inspiring setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and oversee all conferencing, weddings, and banqueting events on site.
  • Lead and support the events team in delivering first-class service.
  • Set up and tear down event spaces in line with function requirements.
  • Meet and greet clients, building strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure smooth handover from enquiry to execution.
  • Organise and deliver training in line with brand standards.
  • Ensure all operational aspects of events run smoothly, professionally, and on time.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience running weddings and events in a hospitality or hotel setting.
  • Previous supervisory or assistant manager experience.
  • Excellent communication skills—confident, articulate, and professional.
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Creative mindset with an eye for design and presentation.
  • Comfortable with physical work and flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Opera is a plus.
  • Driving licence preferred.
