Area Support Manager - Bristol

Our Client is a market leading contract catering company specializing in school food. By combining their understanding of the education sector and their knowledge of what’s on trend in the food world, they encourage creativity and excitement in their kitchens, allowing teams to do what they do best and provide fantastic food experiences for the children.

By providing excellent care and services to both clients and children, our Client has ensured the successful growth of the company and to keep up with the rapid pace of this growth, they are now looking for an experienced Area Support Chef to join the team.

The role:

As an Area Support Chef you will oversee a specific area of their catering operations for a region of Primary & Secondary school contracts. Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will lead their teams in delivering an excellent food operation, meeting and exceeding the client’s expectations.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting the creation and delivery of sales presentations to potential new clients.
- Assisting in new contract mobilizations.
- Building strong working relationships with both new and existing clients, providing exceptional customer service.
- Ensuring all teams are fully trained in all aspects of their role and identify any training gaps.
- Maintaining company systems & procedures, and legislation.
- Carrying out regular unit audits to ensure company standards are met.
- Completing monthly reporting.
- Supporting the Operations Manager in the delivery of action plans to ensure a consistent, service led operation to our clients.

About you

Our Client needs someone who shares their passion for delivering exceptional food and service to their schools along with the following skills and experience:

Currently working in the hospitality/contract catering sector, you will have worked in a similar role previously. Supporting, coaching and developing teams whilst ensuring that the team all have the passion to meet high standards and an excellent service level at all times.

With excellent communication skills, you can lead client meetings, managing their expectations and overcoming challenges.

As well as being service focused, you are process led ensuring standards, procedures and systems are maintained and followed at all times. You’ll need excellent computer skills, the ability to work under your own initiative with the desire to learn and achieve.

This role is:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Working 52 weeks per year
  • Car allowance or mileage on offer
  • £35,000 per annum
